Toootally digging this utterly gorgeous Santa Monica wedding of the very stylish Heidi and Jeff. They got married on New Year’s Eve, which as you can imagine, makes for some verrrry fun, sparkly decor! The theme can be described as “glammed shabby chic,” lots of blue, silver, and gold shimmery, glittery bits – like a super fun holiday party. It’s so pretty! And believe it or not, was held in a backyard. You pretty much can’t tell, it’s that good!
Amelia Lyon captured the whole thing beautifully, starting with this lovely and fun shot of the couple with some outstanding geometric architecture behind them. The sparkly jeweled neckline on Heidi’s dress is just to die for. Melissa Blackburn helped Heidi create her perfect dress by taking apart and reassembling jewels from vintage jewelry and J. Crew necklaces. Amazing right? So classy and seems to fit like a dream! The dress was so fabulous in fact, it wound up steering the whole visual direction of the wedding.
We love all the glam elements – glittery masks and a never-ending supply of sparkles, it seems. Heidi specifically wanted every table to be different, so they went nuts creating unique clusters of photo frames, vintage lace, vases, candles, etc. So very fun and Mardi Gras-like.
The prettiest dessert table setup with the gold and cream ribbon wall. Heidi & Jeff actually had a hot chocolate bar with homemade marshmallows to warm up the guests, since it was the end of December, after all! Love that idea for a winter wedding.
Such a spectacular event, don’t you think? Best wishes to Heidi & Jeff!
