We have such a pretty, sophisticated (but perfectly relaxed), English wedding to start the week, shot by Chloé from Caught the Light. The bride and her dresses are straight up amazing, the venue is lovely, the decor is understated and leafy and perfect. Did we mention the dresses? And the accessories? Hope you love them as much as we do!
Va-va-voom! Right??? There’s nothing at all wrong with a tastefully sexy bride. Philippa, by day a designer for Boden, was seriously working her ceremony dress. Which is Valentino, so we’re thinking not a true “wedding dress”. Or maybe they make wedding dresses? But srsly, who says you can’t choose a gorgeous white dress off the rack, instead of from a bridal salon?
Headpiece: yes please!
Lil’ guest fashion, of course!
Philippa and James planned a light picnic, individually boxed up for each guest, immediately following the ceremony. Which of course gets lots bonus cute points.
An English country wedding wouldn’t be complete without a pick-up cricket match.
And then we have the most fabulous outfit change/reception dress in the history of reception dresses. It’s just beyond stunning, those emerald sequins.
Following the afternoon picnic, the party moved inside and Philippa and James had an Indian Thali meal served, because they both love to cook and eat Indian food. Yummm.
Love how simple and herby and green the decor is. And the addition of the olive tree in the middle of the dining room is a perfect idea!
Aren’t the lavender pot escort cards great? Brills!
So super gorgeous, Philippa and James! The dresses alone were worthy of their own post.
