Studio 1342 is definitely one of those venues that instantly gives a wedding cool points. Its bright murals are the perfect backdrop for a modern couple, the white brick walls leave your wedding colors and decor to pop, and if succulents are your choice of foliage, it’s the perfect spot to play them up. Yep, and that’s why it was the first and only place Katherine + Mark looked at when scouting for venues. These two collaborated on the entire aesthetic of their day, and they did quite a fabulous job.
Katherine’s scrumptious bouquet recipe: venetian roses, green & white hydrangeas, and succulents all tied together with a vintage scarf.
As for their tunes… Prelude: Eyes Be Closed by Washed Out / Processional: Lovers’ Carvings by Bibio / Recessional: New Jack by Justice / 1st Dance: This Guy’s In Love With You by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass
Fantastic advice from Katherine: Delegate! So many friends offered to help with manual labor, which helped a lot. While you ultimately have to make the big decisions, let people you trust take care of the rest. Micromanaging is stressful for you and everyone else involved. Also, pick vendors you trust. Studio 1342 is a beautiful space that could fit the number of guests were wanted and our meeting with the owners went so great. They put our mind at ease during the whole planning process. I didn’t want to waste time stressing over things that were out of my control, so I chose vendors that I felt confident could execute our vision, and they all exceeded any and all of our expectations! Lastly, take the time to make some details of the wedding specific to you as a couple. I made it a point to have milk and cookies at the end of the night because that is Mark’s favorite snack. It’s those little things that can really stand out and make it memorable for the both of you.
Congrats Katherine + Mark!
