Ilana + Mark had been together for ten years before getting hitched. Like together, together. So in order to have a wedding that was an extension of their joint aesthetic – a very crafty and creative kind that loves decorating their home together – they used a mix of flea market finds, Anthropologie splurges, and their own crafty creations (invitations, folded books, pennant flags, fabric bunting, matching cake topper, terrarium centerpieces, and succulent escort cards). Yeah, these two got crafty.

I think that the most memorable moment for both of us was hearing the vows we had written for each other. Mark and I are both writers, so I guess you could say that our vows were our shared magnum opus. Over the course of the few weeks before the wedding, we went back and forth as to whether or not we would read them to each each other before our wedding day, but ultimately decided to let them be a surprise. We were both nervous, but it ended up being a wonderful decision. We laughed as we each recounted our 10-year history as a couple, and cried happy tears as we related our hopes and dreams for our future together. It was really a beautiful moment.
Cheers Ilana + Mark!
