It is such a treat to share today’s wedding with you. We practically feel like family now after having shared Naomi + Rachel’s engagement session, Naomi’s stunning bridal sesh and now their wedding, beautifully photographed by Jen Huang. A few hurdles, 15 months of planning, and one large u-haul later (to haul everything but the tables into the Houston Zoo), an elegant blush, ivory, and gray celebration took place. Guests dined parallel to a reflection pool with dramatic waterfalls and oak trees, vows included excerpts from The Velveteen Rabbit & Everything is Illuminated – their day was truly memorable and every bit gorgeous.
If you’re dying for a closer look at Naomi’s Ines di Santo gown, check out her bridal session featured here.
Naomi’s bouquet recipe: Juliet Garden Roses, Auswater Garden Roses, White O’hara Garden roses, Peonies, Ranunculus, Scabioca, Dusty miller, and spray roses.
They created these sweet and feminine table numbers by gluing blush painted wooden table numbers inside frames with coordinating textiles as backing.
For each of their 80 guests, Naomi spent months handcrafting clay plates with a lace pattern and displayed them at each place setting atop mini gray easel stands.
Being that Rachel is a geologist, they decided to have a little fun with their guest book. Guests were asked to sign gray rocks (also tying into their palette) and drop in a vase. For the longer messages that wouldn’t fit on rocks they also set up a photo book.
And of course, many congratulations to Naomi + Rachel!
