Weddings like Liz + Josh’s make us smile. They’re so bright & cheery, filled with pretty DIY details and it’s so easy to see how their wedding was truly a labor of love. From the garlands to the gold glitter disco ball, the tabletop centerpieces to the corn hold game and signage. It was the perfect bohemian, outdoor, relaxed and intimate celebration they were going for. And what better place to gather than their close friend’s home. Both the ceremony and reception took place in the backyard, under the stars and harvest moon.
My dress was such a heartfelt venture custom made by Miss Tashina. I was able to use bits and pieces from both my grandmother’s and my mom’s wedding dresses. Being as though neither my Grandmother nor my Dad are with us any longer.. It meant the world to me to know they were there with me in spirit.
Samantha from Primary Petals did such an amazing job of capturing the “hand picked” look that I wanted for my bridal bouquet. She used antique garden roses, dahlias, and ranunculus.
The tunes: Joshua and the wedding party walked down to “Ladies and Gentleman We are Floating in Space” by Spiritualized. Liz walked down the isle to Ingrid Michaelson covering Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Their ceremony exit song was Alexander’s “A Million Years” and the first dance song was “Love and Some Versus” by Iron and Wine.
