Floral crowns are a pretty way to give your bridal wardrobe an ethereal look, and we’ve loved seeing them on brides, but we haven’t seen brides with floral necklaces yet. Maybe it’s because you need a tutorial on how to make one? Ok then, look at what we have here… Kelly Oshiro and Jess Wilcox shot this moody, perfect for fall wedding look that caught our attention a while back and we just had to share their DIY secret on how to make this jewel-toned floral gem.
Flowers you’ll need to recreate this necklace: pink and red ranunculus, blue muscari, lavender clematis, and light pink gomphrena.
Materials needed for necklace:
Chicken wire (you can find this at your local hardware store)
Pliers or wire cutter
Floral wire
Floral tape
1 yard of lace ribbon
Use the chicken wire as the base to hook your flowers into. Bunch 3 or 4 flowers together, and then wrap the stems together with floral tape. Make several bunches like this and then attach them to the chicken wire. Using the floral wire, attach the chicken wire to the lace ribbon. And tada! A flower necklace.
