Lindsey Stewart of Green Apple Photography had always dreamt of photographing an elopement. There was only one problem. She hadn’t been approached by a couple that was eloping. So she decided to make it happen. “We wanted to showcase a simple, organic, wedding with a couple out in the Mountains who just happened to get married on the spot.” Lindsey told us. The energy and chemistry of this real life couple (not yet engaged), really make the shoot. And once again, we’re convinced that elopements can be crazy romantic!

We’ve seen plenty of floral crowns and floral necklaces, but we didn’t know there could be a floral shawl too! So pretty, right?

I wanted the whole thing to feel very glam hippie. A nice blend between spontaneous and classic. The skirt was intended to be a focal point. It was a vintage dress that we transformed. I loved the fabric from the moment I first saw it in the thrift store. I could imagine someone wearing it as they frolicked through the meadow. The rest of the look followed. We wanted it to be a very unconventional wedding, getting “married by the trees,” as if the lovers had just run to the mountains with a picnic.

Beautiful work, guys!
