Ok, here’s a cute reason to throw a party post wedding… a special screening of your wedding film! Sadly, we weren’t the ones to think up the idea. Amanda Cowley did. Ice cold beer + an outdoor movie night just sounded so good together, so Amanda invited one of her favorite past couples, Mike + Michelle and 30 of their chosen guests to celebrate in an 200 year old farm with vintage theatre seating, popcorn, candied apples, soda pop & beer.
Working around the farms rustic, harvest feel, our designer was able to utilize several elements the farm still uses today, including century old fruit picking ladders, wooden crates & bushels to display sun ripened peaches picked hours before our guests would arrive & would slurp away on all evening long.

At showtime guests entered the barn & chose a seat — whether it was cozy on the floor with blankets & pillows, or vintage theatre seating & quilts to snuggle up with. The lights dimmed & everyone smiled and laughed as the beauty and memory of that special day back in February played across the screen flooding their eyes & hearts in the very same way. Mike + Michelle were JUST the couple to celebrate on this special night — genuinely madly in love, it was worth the work & time that went into this special evening 1000 times over.
Isn’t that just the sweetest personal movie screening setup you’ve ever seen?
This is the kind of movie night we wish we could have every weekend. Thanks to all the creative folks below for doing such a fun job with this party. We can totally see how this could catch on because the second your videographer finishes your video, you can’t wait to watch it a million times and share it with everyone you know. Are we right?
