We know we’re not the only ones who have fantasized about attending a mad tea party at some point. Which is why we’re a wee bit jelly of all the guests in attendance at Ella + Chris’s wedding. From cocktails served in teacups to perfectly mismatched chairs and china, every little detail is straight outta Wonderland. A big thanks to Gabriel Harber Photography for sending this one our way… Seriously, we owe ya one.
Ella’s told The Cutting Garden that she wanted flowers that were “beautiful but creepy” and “Tim Burton meets tea party.” Couldn’t have said it better ourselves!
The eclectic place cards were made from mismatched playing cards and cards with chess pieces.
Ella says, One of the most exhausting but most fun projects was collecting all of the vintage china and centerpiece vessels for the tables. The summer leading up to the wedding, we scoured garages sales, estate sales and Goodwills all over the bay area looking for old china. At first it seemed impossible to collect this much china for 200 people, but it was so much fun and we managed to collect most of it. What we didn’t collect we borrowed from family and friends.
Kudos to Ella + Chris for pulling off such a classy themed wedding!
