We hope you all had a lovely V-Day weekend, cakies! Since we’re still in a rather romantic mood, we’re sharing a dreamy NYC soiree with the sweetest love story behind it. John + Ellen met in middle school (Can you believe it? Middle school…) and have been a couple ever since the 9th grade. In high school John moved 1,000 miles away, but these two stayed together through thick and thin, until John proposed on their 7th anniversary. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, yes? Well just wait till you see Love, Sylvia’s photos…
How totally perfect are these Kate Spade pumps?!
Ellen’s bouquet recipe: Ranunculus, dahlias, and foliage that was spray-painted gold.
Get this… Ellen + John found this amazing, ornate frame on the side of the road. Someone was actually trashing this gem!
These two really had the best of both worlds: super soft and pretty details with a dramatic cityscape in the background.
Ellen says, A way that we really saved money was by doing our own floral arrangements. I ordered the flowers through a wholesale website, and put them together myself. Luckily, they turned out better than I could have ever imagined!
A little more from the bride… My family is very musical, and it was so special to have my dad sing “First Day of My Life” for our first dance. My grandmother sang to us during our ceremony, and I sang “Make You Feel My Love” to my new husband to end the night. The music helped make the day very personal and special.
We still can’t get over how pretty that was! Congrats E + J!
