We might as well just come out and say it; Patience + John are cooler than we are. Together these two have traversed the globe (11 countries, 7 states, and counting); experienced dozens of concerts and music festivals; and participated in bike races, marathons, cooking classes, backpacking trips, and more. And when it came time to tie the knot, they got married on a sutainable farm in Northern California, minutes from the Pacific Ocean. These two have hipness down pat. From Patience… We held our wedding at Pie Ranch, which is a working farm. John and I are both passionate about real food and living on mostly a plant-based diet. We instantly fell in love with the farm’s mission to educate people, especially youth, about farming and where food comes from. The theme was laidback, rustic, yet classy and beautiful. We wanted our guests to feel at ease, eat good food, and have a lot of fun.
Badgley Mischka does it again with amazing wedding shoes.
My brother Kyle, his wife Kelly, and my niece Bella could not attend our wedding because Kelly had just undergone a double lung transplant due to end stage cystic fibrosis. So Kyle recorded a reading for us that we played during our ceremony. It was the next best thing to having them there.

John says, I was immediately drawn in by Patience’s warm and generous nature. She lights up every room she graces and makes people feel immediately comfortable. She has a discerning taste in music and the arts, and loves being in big groups of happy people. Patience is also uniquely inspired by new interests and has a real thirst for knowledge in a wide variety of subjects and activities. She’s also super smart, creative, a wonderful mom, and (usually) laughs at my jokes.
