Happy Friday, guys and gals. Since we know lots of you might be taking the weekend to plan your own engagement photos, we thought we’d get your creative juices flowing with this adorable session that Flora + Fauna sent us. Now, when it comes to engagement photos, you can certainly go all out with a full-on styled shoot. But if that sounds like a lot of work, relax. You really don’t need much to make for a sweet and romantic engagement session. In Becky + Jose’s case, they picked a beautiful setting, dressed up his vintage car with a few flowers, brought their adorable pup along, and then let their love do the talking.
Becky + Jose are both interior designers, so that’s where they get their eye for design. Becky says, The day before our photo shoot my friend Stephanie and I made the floral crown I wore and the floral swag that hung on the luggage rack of Jose’s car. Since Jose’s Triumph is a ‘74 and British racing green, I thought the sunflower would be the perfect flower to complement the year and the color of his car. The flowers and greenery came from a local flower shop and from areas throughout our neighborhood.
I try to shop local whenever possible, so for our engagement shoot I found my dress and skirt at a local boutique in Jacksonville called Wolfgang. Most of my jewelry was vintage pieces found at local antique stores.
Driving off into the distance… what a fun shot to end on!
