Wendy Laurel Photography + the folks over at Pacific Weddings magazine are lucky enough to have the Maui beaches at their disposal when dreaming up beautiful shoots like this one. White sand, black rock, gentle waves rolling in… we can hardly imagine a more scenic natural backdrop. The theme for this shoot was “velvet and the beach.” When we think about the beach, we don’t normally think velvet—and that’s exactly what we love about it. Just add a touch of velvet ribbon, a tufted, regal-looking settee, and all of the sudden the beach feels less laidback and a little more dramatic.
We gotta say, the gowns are the real showstoppers here. Gorg!
