We could sit here all day and debate which is prettier, the ceremony or the reception half of Sarah + Rex’s wedding. On one hand, that ceremony space is unreal. It’s got the kind of epic natural beauty that you can only find in the Pacific Northwest. But then on the other hand, the reception is filled with sweet wildflowers, strands of twinkling market lights, and the most delightful handmade touches. It’s a toughie for sure. Good think that we don’t really have to choose, and we can just sit here and enjoy all of Hazelwood Photo’s gorgeous snaps.
How sweet are these lace ballet flats from The Dessy Group? Good for dancing the night away too.
Get this: Sarah actually worked with her bridesmaid and fellow fashion designer Alison Dahl Kelly to design custom bridesmaid dresses in blush. What lucky girls who got to wear them!
Sarah’s lush and organic bouquet recipe: white and peach dahlias, light blue delphinium, peach stock, feverfew (mini daisies), blue thistle, scabiosa pods, lavender, and ferns.
Sarah says, Music is very important to both of us and we wanted it to play a significant role in our wedding. Between all of our friends, we know some significantly talented and well-known musicians. We enlisted some of them to play live songs before the DJ started in at the end of the night. The last live song was our first dance song and a favorite of ours, sung and played by the musician who wrote it. For dancing, we hired our friend and Portland DJ extraordinaire, DJ Gregarious. He kept the dance floor packed and going for many hours.
Sarah and Rex, we loved your wedding. Congrats and best wishes!
