Less creative brides than Monika might have nixed the idea of a ‘tropical boho glam’ wedding in the Oregon countryside. But not this gal. This gal had a vision! Monika says, I have always been drawn to tropical locations and Mexican/bohemian influences. My parents live in the country but have a very tropical pool area, so that sparked the inspiration for our wedding. And whaddya know, Monika totally pulled it off. Just take a look at the photos from Love Lit Wedding Photography…
Monika’s hot pink bouquet recipe: protea, piano roses, David Austin, Juliet, and garden roses, peach stock, nerine lily, sweet pea, mokara orchids, ranunculus, dusty miller and hanging amaranthus.
This fashionable bride is a wardrobe stylist and costume designer. Jeremy is a heavy equipment mechanic and hot rod enthusiast.
OK, so how cool are the floating swans in the pool? Such a fun touch.
We had quite a few DIY projects. We made tiered chandeliers using crepe paper and PVC pipes, hundreds of paper tassels using tissue paper, the wood and light “BEST DAY EVER” sign, and half of the centerpieces which were filled with water, goldfish, and floating plants. In retrospect, I would have started our DIY projects earlier. Near the end we were having wedding crafting parties three times a week!
Cheers Monika + Jeremy!
