We knew we weren’t the only ones who watched Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette and immediately had a little party theme! light bulb light up above our heads. We mean… macarons, champagne, and a playful color palette? It was just waiting to happen. And since this little party that Elle Affairs, Mary Margaret Smith Photography, Morgan Trinker, and friends threw was to welcome their pal Kelly home from Paris, it was all the more fitting. Morgan says, We are all part of a group for creative female entrepreneurs here in Birmingham, Alabama called Curtsy. Our friend Kelly, a wedding photographer, had the idea for the group when she saw a need for a solid support system in our local wedding industry. We regularly meet and discuss all the ins and outs of small business ownership, as well as teach each other our crafts. (We’ve learned how to letterpress, make floral arrangements, create simple up dos, etc.) Earlier this year, Kelly and her husband traveled to France for two months, so to celebrate her return and thank her for starting Curtsy, the girls and I decided to throw her a surprise welcome home party.
The girls decorated the wall with a collage of Kelly’s Instagram prints from her trip to France. Too cute!
What fun! We’re sure there were so many cute photo ops with that pink wig…
