When two architects like Loretta + Derek get married, it’s only natural that their wedding is full of clean lines, inspiring design, and amazing venue choices. (Their reception space was actually a functioning furniture showroom, never before used for an event!) These two lovebirds prefer a modern and minimalist aesthetic, which paired perfectly with traditional Chinese elements and pops of red. Thanks to Lucida Photography for capturing it for us all to see…
Loretta says, Our wedding invites were our biggest DIY project. We made all the envelopes and cards ourselves, hand-folded and hand-sealed with a custom-crafted Chinese double happiness symbol.
Loretta’s bouquet recipe: cherry brandy coral rose, Queen Anne’s lace, alstromeria, lysimachia, grasses, and seeded eucalyptus.
That’s some Pinterest hair right there, if we’ve ever seen it.
We chose to use beautiful long wood tables to avoid tablecloths and wood chairs to avoid chair covers. We wanted the greenery on the tables to be a little raw and unfussy.
Congrats L + D!
