How about we tune into nature a little this morning? NYC dwellers E + Z adore the mountains, so an Aspen, Colorado wedding just made sense. With their venue, The Little Nell, they could marry amongst the changing Aspen Trees in September. Let us just tell you now: it was kind of a magical scene.

Only the bridal bouquet had actual flowers; the rest were created with a range of botanicals, and even had purple and green peppers.
Zac + Emily, both architects, designed the invites, save the dates, website, and the logo, which was a theme throughout the event.
This vintage fur stole was a last minute purchase when they learned that the weather was unseasonably cold; it was overnighted from an Etsy seller. No regrets there!
From Emily: The day of, I woke up and it was gray and rainy outside, and it stayed cold and rainy all day. We were cleared to go up in the gondolas and then had to decide if we would have the ceremony outside or inside. It was extremely cold, but we really wanted to hold the ceremony outside surrounded by those epic peaks. Our guests wrapped themselves in blankets, except for the bridesmaids who were bravely kept warm with a shot of bourbon beforehand (one was in a backless dress!!!) and we went for it. The photos turned out beautifully—the colors look gorgeous, and everyone looks so happy and festive.
A note about the drinks: Emily writes the cocktail blog, Gastronomista, and libations were important. They crafted a signature His drink and a Her drink, and finished off the evening with a whiskey bar. Cool, yes?
Vintage wooden arrows shooting up into the sky…
During the party it started snowing, and by the end of the night it had snowed 4 inches… The next morning was incredibly beautiful, the green and yellow aspens poking through a blanket of white snow all over the valley.
