Today’s sweet couple Jen & Jason got married exactly one year after the day they got engaged. Their warm, rustic wedding was the ultimate marriage (really, no pun intended!) of elegant and natural, with an intimate outdoor reception + ceremony, that felt cozy even with 185 in attendance. Plus, it was 100% them – from the hints of peach to the giant oak tree, everything fell into place.

The bridal bouquet had peonies, roses, gardenias, and greenery, all wrapped in cream lace.
They left most of the DIYing to Bash Please, who styled + planned the big day. Jen says, We were especially lucky to work with the wonderful ladies of Bash Please who are incredibly good at their jobs and put together a fabulous event with the best vendors.
These dreamy string lights were one of the bride’s favorite decorations.
We’re pretty much on board with anything Honey & Poppies whips up – remember the whimsical bouquets from this Palm Springs wedding?
The bride happens to be a singer/songwriter (recognize her from American Idol?!), and she surprised her guy with a performance. Jen says, During our cocktail hour, I organized an acoustic set of music performed by a handful of our super talented friends – at the end of the set, I surprised Jay by singing him a special version of “I Only Have Eyes For You”. He had no idea, he was beside himself!
A few words from Jen, The most important part about your wedding is the fact that you are marrying the love of your life, in front of the people who love you… As long as you have good company, enough food and drink, and some music to dance to, you’re golden.
