We aren’t exactly enjoying fall weather yet in LA, but we *are* decidedly in a very fall mood suddenly. This time of year we love to gather around a table to share delicious food and drinks, whether it’s for a major holiday or just to celebrate the change in seasons. When FEED Projects asked us if we might want to participate in their FEED Supper initiative this month, we naturally jumped at the chance to host a party of our own to raise money for such a mighty cause.
You may have spotted a few snaps from that night on Instagram, but if not don’t worry. We have plenty of gorgeous photos from Paige Jones to share with you here.
We never miss an opportunity to throw a party, and the idea that this dinner would raise over 1,000 meals towards FEED’s goal made it all the more special.
So many amazing floral creations by Heather of Twig and Twine.
Gorgeous paper details by Grace Line and Minted.
Whoa Nelly created an amazing spread of passed hors d’oeuvres, a cheese platter, and yummy plated supper. Plus cocktails. Did we mention the cocktails? We were literally in heaven. Those amazing laser-cut wood name tags came from Paper Birch Design. Dinnerware provided by our friends at Casa De Perrin, of course.
We gifted each guest with a little take home basket too, including mini prosecco by MARTINI, these Apple Honey Muffins, a Tea Towel and jar of honey.
We will literally never be sick of looking at this table! (The actual table is from CB2 if you’re in the market.)
The scroll wrapped around each glass read “By sharing a meal with people you love, you donated meals to those you may never meet.” We donated $10.00 and 100 meals for every guest at our dinner.
Our friend and dinner guest Ellen provided her awesome aprons for the kitchen and wait staff. The very best in kitchen fashion, if you ask us!
To see our inspiration for this party and plan one of your own (hello, perfect inspiration for a holiday meal!), you can click over to our guest post on the FEED blog here.
If you’d like to host your own FEED Supper this week or next, it’s totally not too late! You can visit their site to learn everything you need to know about hosting your own dinner, including links to purchase decor. FEED Supper doesn’t have to be fancy (you know that’s how we like it!), it just has to include good food and good company in the name of raising meals for people in need. It’s a great way to kick off the holiday entertaining season, we say.
Don’t have time to host a dinner, but still want to donate? No problem! Click here to donate via the 100 Layer Cake donation page. We’d love to raise $1000 (that’s 10,000 meals) from our amazing readers!
Thank you so much to everyone who made this possible. Special shout out to our gal Sarah Samuel for being the hostess with the mostess, always.
