It’s been a drizzly few days around here, but this sunlit scene may be just the cure. The story goes: Heather of Darrling Design dreamed up this bright, cheerful DIY-themed shoot while interning with floral pro Jennifer Laura Design and as soon as Jennifer saw her notes, she said, we have to make this happen. So they combined talents, gathered a team of vendors, and got right to work.
PS: Did we mention that Heather’s also a flower genius? Paper flowers that is! It’ll all make sense when you scroll through these snaps by To Live To Love Photography:
Heather’s father-in-law constructed a large frame for their backdrop, and she and her sister cut and hand tied each crepe paper piece to the frame. We love these gold and champagne tones, but imagine the possibilities for other color schemes!
Personal letters on romantic calligraphy to present to one another. His says, “Meeting you for a latte was the best decision of my life.” Too cute.
Heather executed the styling and design for the shoot, which meant crafting gorgeous paper flowers to complement Jennifer’s florals. We have a sneaking suspicion we’ll be seeing more of Darrling Design‘s DIY expertise in the future! Incredible, right?.
You don’t need much else when you’ve got lovely strings of flowers hanging from the trees…
