When photog Katie Beverley shared this shoot she collaborated with Now That’s a Party, Witty Rentals, and a handful of other super talented vendors on, we immediately loved it for two reasons: 1) It’s a holiday theme that could totally inspire weddings any time of year, so if you’re not in a region where outdoor events in December are a thing, it’s easily translated, and 2) They included unexpected details like glass tabletops, feathers, and oh yeah… a 5-tiered cake. What’s not to love?
Andi of Now That’s a Party says, This wedding inspiration shoot was inspired by George Winston’s piano adaptation of “Carol of the Bells.” It’s one of my favorite songs to listen to in the winter as we prepare for Christmas. There is something poignant in this piece that makes me want to hold my breath and snuggle up as I wait for it to come. The music, with its minor tonality and brisk toccatas, gives an almost mysterious, wintery coolness, while the delicate arpeggios create the whimsy of a feathery snowfall.
Who needs snow? These feathers are just as magical.
Witty Rentals styled a set of iron + glass nesting tables and they added a fur runner and white and glass tableware to flow downward along with the Bloom Babes florals. Andi tells it, With both structure and playfulness in mind, the various arrangements were composed of tulips, pieres japonica, ivy, blushing bride, astilbe, and pampas grass.Spotted feathers to contrast against the white…
The amazing five-tiered silver and white cake by S’more Sweets was structured with very crisp, clean lines, and softened with elegant live flowers. We placed it in front of a natural backdrop of rust-colored foliage in order to really make this stunning cake pop.
