Happy, happy Friday cakies! You’re gonna love this one: Photographer + design blogger Kim and her guy Seth, an engineer, opted for a glammed up natural curiosity-inspired theme for their Big Sur wedding, with feathers and antlers, glitter and gold. (As you can see on Kim’s Pinterest board, she knew just how to mesh the two.) Between all the lovely details + Evynn LeValley‘s breathtaking photography style, the whole thing was meant to be.
Florals included peonies, cabbage roses, succulents, and air plants.
Their most memorable moment…
Her: Coming over the hill and seeing everyone looking back at me. I was crying before the ceremony even got started.
Him: Seeing her come over the hill.
Sometimes nature can swoop in and make your photos even more incredible. That fog!
Kim, on all her DIYs: The tissue paper tassels that we used as a photo backdrop, gold-leafed Geode bookends for table numbers, gilded feather garland on the cake table, and the crystal bottle stoppers. The ring box was a vintage find that I filled with moss and I wired succulents and Billy-button to create boutonnieres for the guys. For the girls I created custom totes with their names, had the robes embroidered with a floral monogram and made the sequined hangers. The welcome bags were created using a custom wedding map off of Etsy and tote bags. For favors we made s’mores kits.
They planned their wedding in 9 months for under 30K with 43 guests. They wanted small + relaxed and it all came together beautifully, dontcha think?! Congrats you guys!
