When Aimee was on the lookout for wedding photogs in her area, she noticed a common name on all of the images she was drawn to: Apryl Ann. It was a sign, we think! Aimee says, There is a lightness and softness to her photos and she has a way of capturing a moment so beautifully. Even at almost nine months pregnant on the day of our wedding, Apryl did the most amazing work and was a delight to work with.
These guys also nabbed their dream venue, planner, and more—just look:
A family friend and jeweler was able to take the diamonds from Aimee’s parents’ original engagement ring and repurpose them into her wedding bands.
C + A went over their 40 – 50K budget so they could go all out with the elegant, romantic big day they envisioned: Aimee says, Between the museum galleries, unique design details, lush floral arrangements, delicious food, and the extraordinary cake table, I’d say we accomplished (solely due to our amazing wedding planner, Lottie of Grit and Gold) a magical evening full of tasteful elegance and bit of sparkle and romance.
The ceremony venue was a shoe-in: the spectacular St. Patrick Cathedral, where they’ve been going to mass for years—they chose their date based on its availability. For the reception, they wanted a unique experience for guests, and the The Modern Museum of Fort Worth was a blank slate for décor, filled with galleries everyone could explore during the cocktail hour, and a had a building that was a piece of art in itself.
Raquel of R Love Floral whipped up lush florals with cream, pink, and magenta hues. And Emily of Cakewalk Bake Shop (didja ever try her naked cake tutorial?!) was behind this divine dessert bar… Yumx100!
On that walk down the aisle…
It was almost an out of body experience—practically everyone you know and love is staring at you all at once, it was blurry and so focused at the same time. I remember seeing Casey at the other end and feeling so comforted, but also feeling the gravity of it all. It was my last few minutes as a single woman—walking back I’d have a husband. And on a lighter note, making it all the way down without tripping was a MAJOR accomplishment as I am known for being a bit accident prone!
Cheers to the happy couple!
