We love a new toy to play with at the 100 Layer Cake studio. So naturally we were thrilled when our HP Sprout arrived. Anything to inspire a DIY project is a-okay in our book, especially when it looks as sleek this.
With the HP Spout we can transform any object into a graphic element for a project or shoot. 3-D objects? No problem! Can’t capture a flower without crushing it using a traditional flatbed scanner. The Sprout’s high resolution camera captures the details of even the most delicate flowers with beautiful precision, and it’s touch screen control is super easy to use.
We were inspired by bright, graphic floral patterns that are trending right now, and wanted to capture the essence of spring flowers in a fun pattern you could use throughout your party or event decor.
So yummy, right?
We quickly scanned a bunch of different flowers, then using the touch screen system, resized and arranged the flowers into a bright, whimsical pattern.
We then sent the pattern file we created to Spoonflower and had custom fabric printed to use in the tablescape we’ll be sharing tomorrow.
So fun and so apropos of the coming season. We can’t wait for Spring. Are you with us?
We’ll see you tomorrow for the full tablescape we created using our fabric. It’s perfect inspiration for a spring garden party or bridal shower.
