If you’re a fan of Kinfolk, you’re gonna love this editorial because as our title suggests, it was inspired by that very publication. (We get right to the point around here, obvs.) Aimi of Love in Photographs says, I’ve been super inspired by the lifestyle magazine and their emphasis on thoughtful yet simple design, casual entertaining, and slow living. I wanted to put together a styled shoot with this theme and contacted the amazing Lorraine of Harvesting Love Events—she found all the perfect vendors and styled this lovely shoot. Sold!
Dark ‘n dreamy invitations a la Bright Room Studio.
Aimi tells it, While planning the shoot we had ideas to use the open space/barn as a backdrop for the reception and found an incredible California oak tree which we hoped to use as the ceremony backdrop—but since it had been raining heavily that week, Lorraine opted to use the inside of the barn at the last minute and put together a simple and oh so romantic setting for the ceremony. Good move, Lorraine!
Doesn’t this couple totally look pulled from the pages of Kinfolk? Helps that Rose + Riley are indeed a real couple.
The pop of lavender with the roses that Petals of Love tucked into the design is a sweet way to add a little organic color, no?
A wild and simple bouquet to end on. Thanks to Aimi of Love in Photographs + everyone below for sharing.
