Fancy another adorable spring California wedding? We sure do. With Cammie’s family vineyard as an option, choosing a venue was easy. The next order of business was packing a weekend full of fun, casual events, so that they could actually spend time with each of their 120 guests. And when it came to choosing other vendors, they simply went with those they felt most comfortable among, Sylvie Gil Photography, being one of them.
Yeah, we think that’s a pretty spectacular spot to get married.
Their love story: Cammie + Kip met in a playgroup as babies. Even though they lived apart until they went to the same college, they always kept in touch. After their first kiss, Kip told her that she was the love of his life. After dating long distance for four years, they finally said I do! Too cute.
The weekend consisted of pre-wedding cheer on Thursday + a girls’ lunch that Cammie’s grandmother hosted on Friday. Then a dinner and the ceremony at their vineyard. They wanted to give the reception a cocktail party feel, so they opted for food stations to get everyone mingling. After a night of dancing, Cammie’s grandparents put on a farewell brunch. Sounds jam-packed with good vibes if you ask us.
Romantic china a la Frances Lane to complement the handcrafted aspects of the design: collected vases, painted signs, gift boxes of sweets, etc. Cammie explains, We tried to incorporate elements from both families in the details. Kip’s family loves to sail and ski. One trick they have for identifying their boat is using glow sticks, so we had glow sticks for the dance party. Kip and I took a celebratory shot of rum from a shot ski his sister made for us. We used his grandmother’s recipe for punch as a signature cocktail. I also placed a pin his aunt gave me on my bouquet. My uncle made all the wine. My grandma cut squares of fabric for people to sign as a guestbook. We placed photographs from our parents’ and grandparents’ weddings on the same table. Our wedding cake was banana with peanut butter frosting, which is the same flavor my parents served on their wedding day…
Paperweight Films was another vendor that the bride + groom made instant friends with…From the bride… Our wedding was such a fun day! The next morning our faces hurt from smiling so much. I knew it would be a wonderful time, but I had no idea how incredible it would feel to have all our loved ones together.
Cheers you guys!
