Hi Cakies! Amanda here, popping in with a few pics from a wondrous trip I took with my husband to Cancun at NIZUC Resort & Spa earlier this month. After a quick 4.5 hour flight from LA, we stepped out of the plane and into heaven. We arrived with our pants and sweaters on, disheveled hair and all. Then quickly slipped into our bathing suits and slept on the warm, private white sand beach with a piña colada in hand.
Honeymooners, this place is a dream!

Piña Colada served in a fresh pineapple? Check.

Once you visit the beaches here and experience the jungle vibe, you will see what all the fuss is about. It’s the perfect mix of intrigue, beauty, wonder and allure. One of my favorite places I’ve ever visited for sure.

And the sunsets here. My GOD THE SUNSETS! Pink, purple, peach.. all the prettiest colors you could imagine, making it feel like you need to stay here forever.

One quiet evening, we had dinner at the end of the pier. Complete with our own sommelier. If you’re here on a special occasion (or just feel like treating yourself!) NIZUC offers this unique service for you to experience. Delicious fish, a gentle breeze and a magical view made this evening one for the books.

After this memorable dinner, we sauntered over to the spa to indulge in a 2 hour couple’s massage, facial and aromatherapy treatment, called the “NIZUC Romance”. Talk about living it up!

There are six restaurants on the property, which are all quite tasty. Nothing fresher than huevos rancheros made in front of you, or a fresh squeezed juice bar at your disposal. One of the things I loved most was all the decor and design details. NIZUC really captures the essence of the ancient and mystic Mayan culture with all of its open, airy spaces, lush landscaping and organic elements.

Infinity pool on the patio of our suite? Check.

If you choose to get away from it all, you can go out and lounge on these comfy beds and stare out at all that blue.

This little sunken lounge overlooking the sea was a favorite spot for a late evening nightcap.

Getting married here would be a dream. There are multiple areas to choose from for the ceremony and reception, all as lovely as the next. And of course, there is no question that it would be the perfect way to relax as newlyweds.

We’ll definitely be coming back here soon, NIZUC! Thank you for a splendid time.
xo, Amanda
