How exactly does one end up lying on the floor in a hand-stitched wedding gown surrounded by fruit and flowers? We’ll get to that in a sec, but first—these bouquets. Following a citrus wedding theme, The Bloom of Time crafted textured bouquets full of bright blooms and the freshest greens. This palette continued through to cake and macarons too, making it all the more sweet. The resulting explosion of citrus by Zoom Theory Photography is pretty spectacular.
A little background info via Adrienne of The Bloom of Time: It started like this: A handful of wedding industry pros got their creative juices flowing around a wedding shoot inspired by a fun and whimsical citrus color palette. Then, one crazy idea led to another (Yes! Bananas—love it!), and a few days later no one is surprised to see a model lying casually on the floor of Urban Americana, completely surrounded by a vibrant installation of fresh fruit and flowers. She smiles up playfully at Meredith of Zoom Theory’s rapidly firing camera, as the photographer leans precariously off of a borrowed ladder 15 feet off the ground, with a nervous florist holding tightly onto her ankles and whispering prayers.
.Lovely gowns for the models were designed by Mademoiselle Maud, stitched by hand with delicate details, appliqués, and hardly-there sheer overlays. Insta-loved hair and makeup artist Christina Vo used her expert touch to create fun, pretty looks that felt retro yet fresh.
The florals included shades of grapefruit, tangerine, blood orange, banana, and key lime.
Too fun. Thanks to Zoom Theory + the team below for starting our weekends on a cheerful note.
