Nicole’s concept for this shoot was to play off the rich textures of their natural surroundings, keeping everything simple yet intentional. Nicole of Soil & Stem says, Our focus was to highlight the beauty of textures in products of nature: moss, pebbles, quail eggs, honey, and silk. There is an abundance of amazing elements we are surrounded by every day that can be incorporated into a design. Using flowers chosen in earthy pinks and blushes complemented the natural palette while earth-toned ribbon such as this ‘walnut’ from Silk & Willow, grounds the bouquet in a soft and unexpected way. Additionally, the use of many small textural bits in boutonnières rather than larger blooms brings interest and masculinity to the design.
