Cakies, prepare to fall for the details in this one. From the bride’s custom coral lip color to the lavender shortbread cookies and raspberry macarons made to pair with a springy signature cocktail, stylist + florist Swoon Floral Design and the whole crew below were definitely thinking deets. Let’s just say we were delighted to see the photos Sweetlife Photography captured in the 100lc inbox!
A few words from Kim of Swoon Floral Design: I was inspired by the blooms, foliage, and colors of spring. I wanted to use a pastel palette of blush and peach complemented by pops of corals, darker pinks, and spring greens. We chose The Old Schoolhouse as our venue because it is the perfect mix of vintage and romance and was a beautiful backdrop for our inspiration.
The Watters Marnie gown has an illusion neckline, lace bodice, and blush lining. Super pretty with this Austie Eckley beaded headpiece. Kim says, Cassandra of Cassandra Kennedy Beauty kept the bride’s face fresh and glowy and added a lot of warmth to her cheeks and eyes. The bright lip color was a custom mix to match the coral peonies in the floral arrangements. Her hair was pulled away from the neckline in order to show off the gown, and the textured curls were raked back and pinned loosely for an updated take on a classic updo.
The centerpieces were full arrangements of peonies, garden roses, weigela, lilac, and viburnum—most of it locally sourced from Oregon farms. Apricots, raspberries, and blueberries accented the arrangements and added more color and texture to the table.
Did we not warn you about the dessert spread?
This shoot was such a treat for all us peony lovers, yeah? Thanks again to Sweetlife Photography + the team below for sharing.
