Good morning! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We’re kicking off the week dreaming of this elegant wedding inspiration that Kerry Bartlett shot in an olive grove at England’s 800-year-old Almonry Barn. It was part of A Beautiful Way, a workshop dedicated to one of our fave things ever, fine art photography, and the theme? Italian olive grove wedding in summer (sigh). Think olive foliage, Italian fare, and subtle—almost neutral—pastels like sage and gray.
(Has anyone else noticed how many drop dead gorg bridal shoes we’ve had up on the blog lately?)
If this ethereal, elegant gown appeals to you as much as it does to us, might you check out the last time we featured Lady Evelyn back in December? Loooove.
Kerry says, We arrived at Almonry Barn to a sumptuous spread of canapes and refreshing drinks and a few minutes to get to know each other before the workshop began. We were led to a spread of picnic blankets with a gift for each delegate, and were given a brief welcome by Naomi and Holly, before launching into the day of shooting.
Following a marvellous dinner, we were led out for a final shooting session with the ‘bride & groom’ and some Q&A time. I shoot manually on a Canon 5Dmkii, using prime lenses. The combination of superb equipment with fine art styling and photographic skill results in this beautiful, dreamy portraiture and still life, perfect for wedding photography.
Thanks to Kerry Bartlett + everyone below for the extra dose of elegance!
