After perusing these snaps by the talented Meg Smith Photography, we’ve come to one conclusion: Summer. Can’t. End. Especially not when one dreams up bohemian and glamping perfection like Gillian Shenon Event Production + floral designer Erica Rose Design just did. They set up a boho elopement scene right on the northern edge of Muir Beach, nestled between the hillside and rocks, that’s bound to inspire many an end-of-summer event: wedding, engagement, date night… etc. etc.!
Gillian says, This shoot is inspired by the dramatic dreamcatcher. It caught my eye at a favorite little shop called Beach House Style in Fairfax. The dreamcatcher is wrapped in burlap, dangling with white feathers and beads. It gently provides a focal point under the eucalyptus poles of the ceremony arch, and a sublime backdrop with the large rock and ocean beyond.
Our intimate setting includes a pop-up luxury tent from Shelter Co for the wedding night: a bed made with fresh white linen, scattered with cafe au lait dahlias on the natural jute pillows. Erica used black eucalyptus to drape the opening of the tent, as a reference to kelp from the ocean beyond. The oil lamp and capiz shell pendant are the only source of light, and all that’s needed.
Bohemian bridal style: a white linen dress with bronze birds (from her personal collection), a cream throw blanket, and beachy hair + makeup a la Julie Morgan.
A minimal tabletop with mother of pearl plates, wooden forks, + cocktail napkins… All ya really need.
