Of all the seasons, fall is the one that amazes every year. The change is so enchanting and distinct that it transforms weddings, parties, and in this case, a wild and free spirited elopement. Julie Kay Kelly + Meredith of M. Design knew there’d be no better place to show off this insanely gorg change in scenery than Northern California, where there are endless fields and shifting trees and the dreamiest glow from the sun.
Meredith says, We imagined a wild outdoor elopement where mountains meet the sea, with a strong scientific botanical influence and plenty of touches from the native landscape of Northern California. The style was earthy and lush with unique specimens captured in bell jars and drying hanging in the trees. The paper details were inspired by antique botanical illustrations and depicted different native plants.

The bouquet was filled with native style blooms, greens and grasses including Queen Anne’s lace, coffee berry, thistle, amaranth, Artemisia pods, dahlias, millet, and rattlesnake grass. The botanical specimens included larkspur, succulents, tillandsia, acorns, and blackberries.
