R + A knew what they did and didn’t want in their romantic Italian wedding: She didn’t want a theme. She wanted to recreate a garden inside Officine del Volo. He wanted Japanese Maple trees. Everywhere. Vendors kept telling Roki she wasn’t the typical bride, and it turns out—you don’t have to do anything by the book to throw a beautiful autumn party for 351. Thanks to Lisa Poggi for sharing the photos!

Such a timeless lace fitted Marchesa gown. It also had a removable taffeta skirt. Kinda great to pair with those Sergio Rossi beauties above, yeah?

Roki says, When people think about a wedding in Italy, beautiful villas or vineyards are normally what come to mind. Don’t get me wrong, they are gorgeous, but their problem, at least for us, is the rooms cannot contain many people for dinner. We knew we would have a lot of people coming to the wedding and we wanted everyone to eat in the same room. When we walked into Officine del Volo it just gave us a good vibe and we just felt the industrial feel fit us and gave us a blank palate to construct a location that really fit us. The church was located literally downstairs from our house. We have spent six years living in this house together and it was only fitting to get married in the church that is the backdrop of our story.

Roki’s fave moment: Walking into the church and being amazed by all the people that came to celebrate us and finally seeing Albert. I was filled with so many emotions and it seemed so natural to kiss him already. As I did, I heard my mother-in-law do a certain “ahem” because the kiss is meant to be when you are married. That moment was so memorable because it was funny but so emotional at the same time.

Their friend + singer of Albert’s band sang The Cure’s Just Like Heaven for the first dance and Roki walked down the aisle to the Wedding March played by a harpist.
And a little film by Shark Pig…
Wishing you the best, Roki + Albert!
PS: You’ll probably want to repin everything on Roki’s wedding board.
