All you need to know is Megan + Phil’s dreamy color palette (ivory, champagne, pink, green, and gold) to imagine just how lovely their wedding Monterey museum was. They went for “romantic garden party” and everything from the dress to the amaze 4-tiered wedding cake so, so delivered. Thanks to Cara Robbins for sharing these photos with us!
What did we say about this dress? The Amsale Dahlia gown truly couldn’t have been better for a romantic garden party wedding with its shirred bodice and hand-pleated taffeta embroidered skirt.
Megan’s soft bridal bouquet: Gorgeous, lush green bouquet of ferns, scented jasmine vine, seeded eucalyptus, olive tips, garden roses, blue thistle and anemone, hand wrapped in French satin ribbon.
She walked down the aisle to a violin version of If I Loved You from the musical Carousel + their first dance was Earth, Wind and Fire’s That’s The Way Of The World.
When we first started looking at venues, we were drawn to intimate, warm spaces, spaces that felt unique and different. The Monterey Museum of Art- La Mirada was not only beautiful and historic, but scenic and classic. It was the perfect space for us, plus our family and friends loved the local history and sweet smelling rose gardens… We planned our wedding in two years, but the hardest part was planning the wedding away from my family. I never imagined I wouldn’t have my mom and sister with me for the little things that go into all the decision-making, but thankfully they were always a phone call away! We were very fortunate to have Phil’s family for lots of love and support through it all.
Megan’s mom cut + hemmed striped fabric for a perfect table runner that only cost $25.
On choosing a photographer, Megan says, Cara and I spoke on the phone for more than an hour getting to know each other. I was blown away with her photos on her website and knew after speaking to her, she was the perfect photographer for us. We wanted our photographer to really capture who we were without making us feel pressured to look a certain way. She is fantastic at what she does and Phil and I could not be happier with our pictures!
Congrats guys!
