A couple of neat things happened to make S + K’s wedding as amazing as it was. First, Kent proposed during a trip to Europe and during that trip they actually came across his fab midnight blue and black Ted Baker suit, so they knew that color had to be incorporated stat. Then, Stefanie found the perfect fuchsia + glittery gold inspo on Pinterest to go with the theme. And things really got going! Kelsie Pinkerton documented the day, and wait till you hear how they choose her to be their photographer…
Notice the heel on these Kate Spade pretties? Love!
They had those blue suits + gold sequin dresses in mind first, then touches like AZ Petal Pushers‘ hand painted leaves in the bouquets brought everything together.
They found Four Seasons Scottsdale while having a drink there one Thursday eve. As they stepped onto the patio, they both just gasped. It was that beautiful! They saw an event going on that night, fireside and under bistro lights with guitarist Keith Jones. Spoiler alert, they hung bistro lights, had the mesquite wood burning, and booked Keith Jones for their day too. They made it all happen with a 75k budget.
The groom + groomsmen surprised Stefanie with a fun dance too. We love what she had to say about it: Kent really put in so much work to make me happy, like he does everyday. He loves surprising me and it’s one of the things I love about him. From the moment he proposed in Paris, in front of the Eiffel Tower, to the last moment of our wedding reception, he was always finding ways to make me happy and surprise me. I couldn’t have ever wanted or even known I wanted anything more!
Oh and how they chose their photog is kiiiind of a great story:
I had been researching photographers one day and so had Kent. I found Pinkerton Photography through Pinterest and recognized a photo of a couple I had seen through a mutual friends’ social media posts previously. It was a photo taken in the rain, and it was breathtaking. I called Kent on my way home and said, “I found the photographer!” and he said, “Me too!”. So, we agreed we would look at each others’ picks and meet with both. I came home and Kent said, “Close your eyes (he loves to do this) and I’ll show you the most incredible photo”. So I did, and when I opened, it was the same picture I had found on Pinterest! What are the odds?! So, we called Kelsie right away and met with her and we fell in love with her cheerful and professional demeanor. She is wonderful.
Congrats you guys!
