When both your mother + father have lakeside cabins next door to each other like George’s, the space becomes an obvious contender for a venue. Even better if its style totally aligns with your love of vintage, history, and family. Again, like George’s. Naida knew it was serious when he first brought her up to the island on a date, and naturally it became her favorite place too. Don’t you love perfect fits like that? Really can’t imagine anyone better behind the lens than Suzuran Photography too.
Beauty! Naida says, While I was putting my veil on with my maid of honor, she ran over to the window and motioned to me to follow her, instructing me to be quiet. There I saw my husband with his hands nervously in his pockets getting prepared to walk down the aisle. It was such a sweet moment because it immediately dissolved any nervousness or tension I had and reminded me what all this preparation had been about.
They originally planned to have the reception where the ceremony ended up, but the tent pole stakes didn’t fit in the ground there and they had to abandon the plan the day before the wedding. They rolled with the changes and just said, whatever happens, we’re getting married tomorrow! Liking that attitude.
From A Charming Fete … When we first met Naida she was radiant and so in love, a true natural beauty. We wanted to stay true to her organic, natural, vintage yet minimalist style…The scene was nothing short of magic as waves gently rolled onto the rocky shore. Earthy arrangements adorned the large white vintage wood doors that opened up to the lakefront ceremony space. A large tree offset the ceremony backdrop perfectly and a large greenery garland wrapped up and around the trunk base. The bridesmaids wore mismatched flowy gowns and carried small arrangements put together by the bride’s family. The bride’s scalloped lace, deep v-cut gown highlighted her perfect porcelain skin. She carried a natural, wild arrangement of fern, cream garden roses, lavender and Queen Anne’s lace with sweeping peach and nude silk ribbons.
