If you love a modern industrial feel and the heart of the city, The Green Building in Brooklyn is almost as good as it gets. A few things could really take things up a notch though… Such as a unique color palette not often used in weddings and the artful influence that photogs Sarah + Tim of Ryon Lockhart Photography channel with their images. Jewel tones and exposed brick, you know?
Just a little watercolor genius by Smitten on Paper for ya…
Coming from an art background, whenever we put together concepts for event design, we try to create with meaning and purpose. Rothko had always been a favorite of ours, as he had a huge influence in the art field with his vibrant color and use of space. We chose cool tones based off of Rothko’s No. 61 Rust and Blue as our inspiration for the shoot. The colors seem to be a bit unique for weddings so we wanted to show that couples do not have to shy away from incorporating cooler tones for their wedding.
Chloe+Mint made sure that industrial vibe of The Green Building was met with a warm, inviting feeling for guests despite the raw open space and cool color palette.
Love love love each and every one of this bride’s looks.
