Morning Cakies! We’ve got a sweet story to start the week with. Maryna + Daniel met in Seattle, which was halfway between each of their cities. For three years while getting to know each other and eventually dating, they’d meet up there. It became a place for all their sweetest memories, and their day at Court in the Square was all about sharing that story with a guest list of 125. Thanks to Angela Shae for the images!
Maryna says, Seattle became very dear to us—it’s where all of our most precious memories were made, from our first date to countless meetings at coffee shops, to romantic dates downtown. The city means a lot to us, and that is why we decided to have the wedding in the heart of Seattle. As a gift to me on the wedding day Daniel gave me a hand-drawn map of Seattle, with little pins representing milestones in our relationship: the first time we met, first date, first Valentine’s Day, etc. It was the most thoughtful gift I’ve received in my life.

They wanted to incorporate soft colors into the city scene… A blush BHLDN gown sure does the trick. Annnd these shoes! New mission, get more of this color in our closets stat.
A few words from Daniel—who’s a wedding photog himself, Everyone thought that as a photographer I would be very particular in choosing my. But once the wedding planning came around, I realized that my priorities were very different from what everyone expected. Instead of wanting to have a lot of fancy photos, what I really wanted was to have a friend be a part of our wedding day, and to share those moments with. That’s why we were so happy to have our good friend Angela Shae photograph our special day. And sure, she did capture lots of beautiful pictures, but what was more important is that she could share the wedding day with us as a friend.
