If there’s one thing we reeeeallly love, it’s planning something special at home for our husbands on Valentine’s Day. Going out can be a bit of an ordeal, especially in a  big city, and let’s be honest, you can go out ANY day of the week. You don’t have to pick the busiest day of the year. In our ongoing partnership with Crate and Barrel, we’re sharing a the perfect dessert for Valentine’s Day, which naturally involves chocolate and a gorgeous cocktail too. Plus our picks for stocking your Gift Registry with items you’ll use for special occasions throughout the years.

Just the ingredients are stunning! And our BFF, the Harper Rose Gold Flatware, doesn’t look too shabby either. *wink*

We used this recipe from Bon Appetit, but if you have a fave of your own go for it!

A sharp knife and a solid cutting board are essential for chopping this much chocolate. We can’t recommend using your Gift Registry to upgrade your knives enough! A sharp set of high quality knives makes preparing meals soooooo much more enjoyable.

Likewise, a heavy-bottomed pan like this All Clad 3 quart saucepan is ideal for so many sensitive recipes. We’d add one of these (or maybe a big set) to our Gift Registry to make creating decadent meals a treat in the years to come.

A set of these little ramekins makes creating something small and special for just your partner, or even a larger dinner party, pretty and effortless.

And naturally one cannot whip cream without a Pistachio Stand Mixer. Isn’t that color amazing?

We made Jasmine Whipped Cream for this recipe and it was divine.

Those soft, feminine plates from the Hue Collection are such a sweet little addition to your Gift Registry, even if only for special occasions. Kind of nice to tuck in something pink for when the mood strikes, no? Though we definitely support using them for every day dining too!

You want to see the cocktail recipe right? It does look so lovely and inviting in the Camille Champagne Coupes. It’s over on Crate and Barrel’s blog today, if you’d like to take a peek. Totally a keeper.
