Cara + Jayson’s venue was so fitting for their romantic day, you’d figure it must’ve took them months to find it. But it was actually the farm Cara grew up on in California (lucky bride!). Can you imagine? So perfect for a rustic celebration with lots of DIY projects to adorn the space and 130 guests to mingle. Thanks to the bride’s talented childhood pal, Erica of Acres of Hope Photography, for sharing!

Cara walked down the aisle to A Thousand Miles by Christina Perri. Her fave memory: Walking down the aisle since I hadn’t seen Jayson since the rehearsal dinner. It was amazing being able to look him in the eye while reading our vows. It was so hard trying not to kiss him until we were announced as husband and wife!

The bride’s rustic bouquet recipe: anemones, ranunculus, dahlias, Juliet garden roses, lamb’s ear, succulents, scabiosa pods, and dark berries. Love her floral crown too!

This light!

We wanted to match the space and incorporate a lot of wood and natural elements but still have that elegant feel with the lighting, the china and the colors. Our color scheme was peach, plum and neutrals. All backdrops, place cards, logs for centerpieces, the pinecone garland on the bar, s’mores kits, guest book, all signs, and the corn hole game were DIY.

So cute, right? Be sure to check back today for another darling cake in our next post.
Cheers to the happy couple!
