When you come across an Airbnb listing like this Malibu airstream (which so happened to be featured in a Vogue shoot with Taylor Swift), the ideas just start coming. Molly + Ian used to vacation in Malibu when they lived in NY, and found this when searching for little staycation spots after moving to LA. Obviously they had to have their e-sesh here, and photog Heather Kincaid was totally on board.

Dreeeeam space.

On choosing a photographer… Heather Kincaid, loved the idea, and we’re thrilled with how the photos turned out. Carina McLaughlin, our amazing planner, recommended Heather to us for our wedding photography. We immediately fell in love with Heather’s work, and with Heather when we met her for the engagement shoot. We had such a fun time getting to know her (and making margaritas) in the airstream and can’t wait for the wedding in May!

And their story…
Ian and I met in Washington DC, where Ian was working after college and I was attending law school. We were set up by mutual friends about five years ago. One of Ian’s good friends actually told him, “I’ve found your new girlfriend,” as soon as she and I met—she’ll be at the wedding, of course! We bonded immediately over our love of cooking (and food). Ian moved to New York shortly after we started dating, and I joined him after finishing up law school. Ian proposed in November 2014. He designed the ring himself and surprised me with the most wonderful dinner at Per Se with our family and drinks afterwards with friends.
We’re thinking there will be many a Malibu staycation in their future after their wedding this May. Congrats guys!
