Anyone on the lookout for a Brooklyn restaurant venue? Fitzcarraldo, shown in all these photos by Lindsay Hackney is situated on a quiet Williamsburg street, and is overflowing with eclectic charm. When it came to planning + design, Lindsey M. Events made sure each detail was inspired by the venue’s already enchanting interior.
They brought in elements from lots of local Brooklyn designers like this dreamy Rebecca Schoneveld dress to show that you really can source pretty much everything from within your local ‘hood.
Our primary goal was to contrast soft, romantic textiles with the more rustic and masculine elements of the space. Dreamy pastel florals popped against charcoal plates and copper fixtures. Geometric, metallic pieces were perfect companions for our gauzy custom table runner. Fitzcarraldo’s existing elements are a bit eclectic—from the turquoise patterned floor to the exposed brick walls, the phonograph shaped light fixture to the chevron patterned bar—we embraced the eclectic and included mixed metallics, textures, and patterns.
These floors + walls + windows? Yeah, we’d agree they had a lot to work with!
Must, must end with a dreamy modern cake, you know it!
Kudos to the team for doing justice to a wonderful space! Check out the local vendors below…
