Nothing says Friday in May quite like peonies, and trust us, we’re all about peony season over here. And the arrangements by Akiko Floral in these photos are for the books for sure. Peonies, a set of ethereal gowns, and just a few romantic accents made up the scene that Birds & Honey + David of Heidrich Photography set out to create.
The concept behind this scene is pretty special too: Most people will never know another human being for as long as they know their brother or sister. Whether they fought constantly throughout adolescence, lost touch for a period of their adult lives or remained incredibly close and connected from day one, their connection to their family will always come first in this sense. I really wanted to showcase this bond with this editorial using real life twins Sheena & Jerrica Singh to demonstrate one of the most beautiful relationships and bonds that I have ever witnessed.
