Morning! We’ve got something slightly out of the norm for ya today, complete with the freshest blue hues and beautifully intimate vibe. Photog Ashley Slater sent this soft and springy boudoir sesh to our inboxes as a way to show brides how timeless and tasteful these shoots can be, and we totally agree. Three real brides helped her bring this shoot to life in a fresh, authentic way. Take a look!
Ashley Slater says, Boudoir sessions have become really popular in the past few years, but some brides are still really scared when they hear the word “boudoir’. This styled boudoir session with three real brides was designed to showcase how feminine, romantic and classy these sessions can be. Boudoir is intimate and raw by nature, and I took the art direction in the same vein. But really, wouldn’t this color scheme with blue pops be so magical for a garden wedding?
A deconstructed vintage settee set the tone for designer Shelby of The Day’s Design to create a phenomenal greenery installation. The ferns and greens looked like they were growing out of the furniture and gives the entire shoot a very timeless look. Pretty jewelry and details from Spring Sweet Bridal, love notes beautifully lettered by Annie of Wildfield Paper Co and soft makeup and hair by Sarah Boucher tied the theme together.
Our minds are bursting with inspiration after this one. Thanks, Ashley!
