Happy Monday, friends! It’d be pretty silly to introduce you to Josh and Amanda without also introducing their fab sense of style, so why don’t we just dive right in? Amanda works at Show Me Your Mumu (you’ll even see Cammy, whose own wedding we shared here, in the photos below) and Josh is not the type to go for traditional wedding attire. So, their blush dress and custom suit came to influence the whole day’s design, which was whimsical, fun, and amazingly floral. See what we mean by scrolling through all the images Caitlin B. Amanda’s Hayley Paige gown was the perfect pair for Josh’s custom floral suit.
My husband is a big, happy, personality and I knew he wouldn’t settle on a traditional suit. As I was designing my bridesmaids’ dresses with Show Me Your Mumu, I came across a beautiful floral that I knew he would love. Once his suit pattern was confirmed, I began my dress shopping. I chose the Leah Gown by Hayley Paige, which I’d dreamt about before ever trying on. I too could not go too traditional with my dress since I’d be standing beside a floral suit! It was love at first site when I saw the Leah in person.
Amanda worked with the Mumu design team to land the perfect floral print for her ‘maids that was inspired by the natural surroundings of De Tierra Vineyards. She then paired them with some solid hues so as not to compete with the rest of the floral deets.
Cute sign alert! Signs were done by Wylie West Creative.
When Amanda saw this bold floral print, she knew Josh would be thrilled. They worked with Chookhare to make the suit using the same fabric.
Walking down the aisle was the most incredible moment of my life. With both my parents by my side, walking toward the man I love, looking at my forever, was so perfect. I walked down the aisle to Billie Marten’s cover of You Make My Dreams Come True By Hall and Oates. We wrote and read our own vows aloud to each other before exchanging our rings and becoming Mr. and Mrs. Macuga, officially.
Clearly, big blush gowns and floral suits make for some pretty rad wedding portraits, too.
When it came to the décor, I really leaned on my mom and sisters. My mom, an artist, had a vision for doing all kinds of DIY so we set a weekend to get crafty! From hand dying our linens to painting our table numbers, we made every little detail mean something… Our table settings were simple, which is exactly what I wanted. We chose a mix of different vintage vases along two extra long dining tables. We kept it minimal with just a linen napkin and place card, as to not crowd the tables. We wanted the vineyard to really stand out rather than add too many small details. We dined along the grapevines at sunset underneath twinkle lights. The view, our loved ones, and that moment was one of the most memorable for me that night.
