You know when you scroll through a wedding or shoot and a drool-worthy cake or killer dessert table stops you in your tracks? Well, this whimsical candy-inspired wedding theme photog Wee Three Sparrows and Kendra Coons of Confetti and Co. dreamt up is like having candy and cake and color explode from the dessert table onto each and every detail in a wedding. So yeah, it’s pretty fun, we think. See what we mean below!
As the story goes… Back in December Creative Director and wedding planner, Kendra Coons of Confetti and Co., was scrolling Facebook when she stumbled upon a photo of powdered donuts acting as a menorah. That night she laid awake literally with visions of sugar plums dancing in her head—she couldn’t stop thinking about candy and all the beautiful ways it could be used to create something beautiful. Over the following few weeks a dream team assembled and the Wonka Wedding was born! We wanted to create a bright and whimsical shoot that would be perfect for spring and summer, full of colour and creative inspiration.
Mint Room Studios in Toronto brought a minimal, refined elegance to their playful wedding theme.
And the floral arrangements by Stok Floral couldn’t be brighter! Aren’t the ribbons so fun?
The stationery provided by Cindy at Nimble Nib Co. was designed with exceptional attention to detail and tied in the candy theme perfectly. Both the getting ready outfit and bridal gown were provided by Sarah at ByCatalfo was a perfect fit on our beautiful model Lauren, and the jewellery from Luxe.Zen is pretty enough to eat! With the theme being sugary and sweet, we knew we needed a baker with extraordinary talent, and Belle from Love In Bloom Cakes was the perfect fit!
