Don’t know about you all, but seeing yellow used in an edgy, modern way surprises us every single time. It’s a classic spring hue that’s just so tough to get *exactly right*. But when it came to this bridal editorial by Alixann Loosle Photography, designers Metal & Moss and the team below were all about weaving modern details in with a romantic bride, softening yellow with mauve, and keeping things editorial yet fresh. And we think we found our fave palette for spring 2019 in the process…
Their modern bride wore Elizabeth Dye to their shoot at The Portland Studio.
Metal & Moss kept the tableware simple and modern, while still feeling intimate and comfortable.
Getting more and more enamored with modern paper pretties these days, aren’t you? Old City Mailroom was behind the paper suite.
Metal & Moss dreamt up a pretty mauve bouquet in addition to this yellow stunner, so be sure to check it out in our inspiration gallery at the end of this post!
The team explains, A mauve backdrop and pale mauve tablecloth were used to create a monochromatic feel. Bright yellow, soft, and fluffy spring florals softened up the edge of the bride’s modern earrings and dress. We also gave a mauve bouquet option, with ruby tones that tie into the color palette for a second floral option.
Thanks to Alixann Loosle Photography and the talents below for inspiring our new fave spring color palette…
